FG prohibits SSS1 SSS2 students from taking WASSCE, NECO, NABTEB

According to the Ministry of Education, this would help maintain decency and raise the level of education in schools.

 This was in a circular from the Federal Ministry of Education to directors of unified federal schools which read, FG prohibits SSS1, SSS2 students from taking external WASSCE, NECO, NABTEB

 It was entitled In the circular bearing the number: FME / DBSE / US / DOC / III / 16 and signed by the director of the Ministry of Higher Secondary Education, Hajia Binta Abdulkadir. 

 The circular was confirmed by press and public relations director Ben Bem Goong on Friday. 

 In the circular, it’s says FG prohibits SSS1, SSS2 students from taking external WASSCE, NECO, NABTEB and the government threatened to expel SSS One and Two students who will take the exams. 

 According to the Ministry of Education, this would help maintain decency and raise the level of education in schools.

 The circular read: “The ministry’s attention was drawn to the flagrant non-compliance with its directive on (on) writing external reviews such as NABTEB (NTC and NBC), WASSCE, NECO (SSCE) by students SS1 and SS2. 

 “Students involved in the practice find it difficult to settle into serious studies. They become unruly and prevent other students from achieving their goals. 

 “If Any student who has passed any of the above exams in the SS1 or SS2 classes will be expelled from the college. 

All students must take these exams after being duly registered for the exam by the college. 

 “All Federal Unity College students must strictly adhere to the contents of this circular. And directors are advised to bring the content of this circular to the attention of all parents of students ”.
